Marie Dolores Crowley, age 94, of Stronghurst, Illinois, formerly of Bancroft and Knoxville, Iowa, passed away at 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab in Stronghurst.  She was born April 9, 1929 in Bancroft, the daughter of John and Frances Fangman Brink.  On November 4, 1947, she married Joseph Crowley in Bancroft.  He preceded her in death on October 23, 2003.

Mrs. Crowley worked as a clerk for Kennedy's Department Store in Bancroft for many years.  In 1988, she moved to Knoxville, IA, where she lived until moving to Stronghurst in 2019.  She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Knoxville.

Survivors include six children: Dianna Diers of St. Paul, MN, Steve (Terri) Crowley of Burlington, IA, Jeff (Gail) Crowley of Windsor, CO, Jim Crowley of Lincoln, NB, Deb (Bill) Knupp of Carman, IL, and Kelly (Gina) Crowley of Mt. Pleasant, SC, eleven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister: Dorothy Malloy.

Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Stronghurst is assisting the family with local arrangements.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2023 at Oakcrest Funeral Home in Bancroft, Iowa.  The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3rd at St. John's Catholic Church in Bancroft.
