Maddie L. Finch, 19, of LaHarpe, IL passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at her home.
She was born September 23, 1998 in Macomb, IL, the daughter of Jason and Carrie Walkington Finch.
Maddie attended grade school in LaHarpe and was a 2017 graduate of Illini West High School. She had finished her 1 st semester at Illinois State. Her goal was to become a nurse and help children who were battling cancer. She worked at Jenni's Ice Cream & Grill in Lomax, IL and R & M Market & Floral in LaHarpe. Maddie was very artistic, loved being with her friends and watching Grey's Anatomy. She had a big heart and had adopted her dog, Fynn, from the animal shelter.
She is survived by her parents, Jason and Carrie Finch of LaHarpe, her sister, Josie Finch of LaHarpe, grandparents, Nancy and Greg Walkington of Woodstock, IL, Patty (Mark) Finch of LaHarpe and Mark (Barbara) Finch of LaHarpe, aunts, Renee (Steve) Torrez of Walworth, WI, Kristi (Mike) Newman of Woodstock, Britt Whitting of Norfolk, VA, Leanne (Mark) Schimming of Cary, IL and Kelli Adkisson of LaHarpe, uncles, Alex (Kristen) Finch of Lake of the Ozarks, MO and Joe Adkisson of LaHarpe, 7 cousins, Maya, Hudson and Quincy Torrez of Walworth, Emmett, Elliot and Olive Newman of Woodstock and Clay Finch of Lake of the Ozarks and many, many friends.
Friends may call after 3:00pm Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the LaHarpe Christian Church where the family will meet with friends from 5:00 until 8:00pm. Services will be held at 10:30am Friday at the LaHarpe Christian Church with Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating. Burial will follow in the LaHarpe Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to help with expenses; donations may be made at https://www.gofundme.com/maddie-finch . Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe is assisting with the arrangements.
