Madaline C. McBeth, age 80, of Danville, Iowa, passed away Wednesday February 24, 2021 at New London Specialty Care Facility in New London, Iowa. She was born August 17, 1940 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of Maurice and Daphne Collins Austin. She was married to Tom McBeth. They later divorced.

Madaline was a graduate of Southeastern Community College in West Burlington. She taught reading in an adult literacy program for several years. Earlier in life she worked for traveling carnivals, and also worked for Burlington Steamboat Days security detail for thirty five years. She was an avid collector of penguin figurines.

Survivors include her companion of twenty seven years; Art McLain of Danville, IA, nine children; Henry Heitkamper, Charles Caskey, Ruth McBeth, Michael McBeth, Diana Lee, Theresa Keck, Jon Caskey, Mary Caskey, and Betty Grisham, three step children; Mike, Richard, and Laura McLain, twenty six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and one brother; Thomas Hooker. She was preceded in death by one son; Cecil, and three daughters in infancy.

Due to the pandemic, no services are planned at this time. A Celebration Of Life service will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established for Great River Hospice. Memorials may be sent in care of Banks & Beals Funeral Home, PO Box 299, Stronghurst, Illinois 61480.
