Lonnie Eugene Lewis of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at his home.

He was born February 14, 1949 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Everette Eugene and Jane Cordelia Lewis. He only has one surviving child, Bobbie, but had lots of grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

He was known to be an extremely hard worker who never left something half done. He was an adamant animal lover who was particularly fond of pugs and went on to start The Good Shepard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Glenda and Rose, his brother Ron, his niece, Tiffany and daughter Crystal.

He is survived by his son Robert Lee Lewis of Oakville, Iowa, his grandchildren, Jeremy, Dakota, Leigha and Ricky, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home.

A service will be held at the Oakville Community Center, 104 East Ash Street, Oakville, Iowa on December 2, 2023 at 10:00a.m.
