Dr. Lewis Lloyd Mohr (Doc Mohr), age 87, formerly of Dallas City, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Dr. Mohr was born in Burlington, IA on March 24, 1937, the son of Lloyd B and Ruth Jones Mohr of Dallas City, IL. He graduated from Dallas City High before attending Carthage College and then obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1962.  After graduation, Dr. Mohr served as a Captain in the United States Army before returning home to open Mohr Veterinary Clinic and resume farming with his family.

On July 16, 1967, Dr. Mohr married the love of his life, Donna E. Payne.

Dr. Mohr was preceded in death by both of his parents, his loving wife, and one brother (David Mohr).

He is survived by two daughters, Victoria Mohr and Dr. Kayla Crum; one son, Lewis I. Mohr (Amanda); five grandchildren, Madison Crum, Allison Crum, Isaac Mohr, Ethan Mohr, Audrey Mohr, and Olea Mohr; as well as one brother, John Mohr, and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at a later date with his remains laid alongside his wife's in the Terre Haute Cemetery in Terre Haute, IL.

Memorials may be made to the Haven - E.T. York Hospice Care Center, 4200 N.W. 90th Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606. Above all else, Dr. Mohr had a true heart for Jesus. He would be honored for any gifts made to support your local Church. And his greatest pleasure would come from knowing that you were daily endeavoring to know Christ more and studying the Word of God.
