Kent LeRoy Brown, 89, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at Heartland Health Care in Peoria.

Barbara Ellen Brown, 92, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice House.

Kent was born February 21, 1921 in Farmington, Iowa, to Pearl LeRoy and Ella M. Brown. Barb was born September 20, 1923 in Colchester, Illinois, to Anthony and Maggie Bushmeyer. They were married on April 19, 1946 in LaHarpe.

Surviving the couple are four sons: Roger (Shellie) Brown of Bartonville, Raymond Brown of Chillicothe, Jim (Becky) Brown of Peoria and Lennard Brown of Florida; one daughter, Linda Reynolds of Bartonville; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and Kent's sister: Orma Bjork of Texas.

Their family members who have passed away are their parents: two daughters-in-law: Sandy and Nancy; one son-in-law: Bill Reynolds; Kent's sister: Amy Richer and his brother: Wayne Brown.

A joint graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at LaHarpe Cemetery, with Rev. Rick Goettsche officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the LaHarpe American Legion.
