Kenneth Lloyd McPeak, 82, of Blandinsville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Timber Point Healthcare Center in Camp Point, Illinois.

Kenneth was born July 6, 1939 in Fountain Green, Illinois, the son of Earl D. and Rose Mae (Sly) McPeak. On August 20, 1958 he married P. Joyce Brown in Blandinsville, Illinois. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2017.

Kenneth attended LaHarpe High School. He owned and operated McPeak Construction all of his life. In earlier years he worked as a farmer. He enjoyed antique tractors, watching westerns and especially enjoyed time spent with his family.

Survivors include three daughters: Pam (Mike) Rothlauf of West Burlington, Iowa, Tammy Hodges of Macomb, Illinois and Kim (Tom) Sitton of Bowling Green, Missouri; one son: Doug McPeak of Bowling Green; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren with one on the way; one sister: Dorothy Wisslead of LaHarpe and one brother: Jerry Shoemate of Blandinsville.

Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: Sherry Mitchell; one grandson: Ryan McPeak; one sister: Donna Owsley and one brother: James McPeak.

As per Kenneth's wishes, a private family burial will be held in the LaHarpe Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Blandin House Museum in Blandinsville.
