Karen Mosley Marsden, 73, of Dallas City, IL, lost her life to cancer at 4:24 a.m. February 18, 2016, at the Great River Hospice House, West Burlington, IA.

Karen was born on October 12, 1942 in Hancock County, IL the daughter of Marion and Mary Esther Stewart Mosley. She married George Marsden in Dallas City, IL on November 15, 1963.

He preceded her in death on July 14, 2014. They had two sons, Mark and Steve.

Karen worked many years at Scheaffer Pen. She was an avid walker and enjoyed long walks around Dallas City. Karen was a life long donor to Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Disabled American Veterans organizations.

She was loved very much by her sons and supported them in everything they did. She was very close friends with Rusty Nixon and his family, who have always been there to help.

She is survived by two sons, Mark (Brenda Menke) Marsden of Dallas City and Steve (Laura Osborne) Marsden of Nacogdoches, TX, one brother, Earl (Annette) Mosley of Grantsburg, WI and many nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, Marion and Mary Esther Stewart Mosley, and one brother, Marion (Mac) Mosley.

Karen requested no visitation or services. Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City is in charge of arrangements..
