Joyce Lavere Mullins

, age 87 of Stronghurst, Illinois, died at 10:00 a.m. Friday September 2, 2011 in the Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab Center in Stronghurst. She was born December 19, 1923 in Stronghurst, the daughter of Guy and Ruth Foote Leinbach. On October 1, 1955, she married Franklin Mullins. They later divorced.

Joyce had lived in the Chicago area for many years, returning to Stronghurst in 1983. She worked in civil service and was a status technician for the U.S. Army for many years. She was a member of the Stronghurst Christian Church.

Survivors include one sister-in-law, Jean Leinbach of Stronghurst, one nephew- Lynn (Linda) Leinbach of Stronghurst, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother - Ernest Leinbach and one nephew, Terry Leinbach.

No visitation is planned. As per Joyces wishes, private graveside services will be held in Stronghurst Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab.
