Jerry Dwayne Smith, 70, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at his home. He was born on March 11, 1951 in Beardstown, Illinois, the son of Dempsey Dwayne and Marlene (Siegfried) Smith.

Jerry worked for the former Davison Motor Sales in Stronghurst for several years. He had also cooked for local restaurants.

Survivors include one son; Trenton Smith of Tennessee, four grandchildren, one brother; Terry Smith of Palastine, TX, two half-brothers, Bob Smith of Macomb, IL, Mike Smith of Bushnell, IL, and four half-sisters; Linda Detrick of Gladstone, IL, Sandra Leibli of Burlington, IA, Jane Adams of Kingman, AZ, and Sandra Dewitt of Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents.
