Jere Lee Armstrong, age 72, of Iowa City, Iowa, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday December 11, 2018 at University Of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He was born December 8, 1946, the son of Leman "Lee" and Bertha Robbins Armstrong.

Mr. Armstrong lived in the Quad Cities area for many years, moving to Iowa City in 2007. He was happiest running a speed boat on the Mississippi River between Lock and Dam 18 and Burlington, Iowa. It has been several years since he could do that.

Survivors include one sister, Sharon Wood-Geist of Canon City, CO, one sister in law, Nannette Armstrong of Oswego, IL, nephews Errin Armstrong of Great Lakes, IL, Kristin Wood of Singapore, and a niece, Carin Armstrong Tullos of Avenue, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dick Armstrong, two sisters, Lynette Armstrong and Pat Jones, and a nephew, Frank Bradley Wood.

No services are planned at this time. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Colchester, IL.
