Jeffery Michael Roberts, 69, of Lomax, Illinois, passed away at 11:18 a.m. on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Jeff was born on December 26, 1955 in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Glen T. and Joan E. (Zern) Roberts. He grew up in Lomax and graduated from the Dallas City High School. On September 18, 1976, he married Leslie A. Francis. She preceded him in death on February 10, 2012.

Jeff worked at the Mississippi Bakery in Burlington, Iowa for over 30 years. He later was employed by the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, where he retired from. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed all types of hunting, but especially enjoyed waterfowl and turkey hunting. He also enjoyed participating in goose calling competitions, placing in several throughout his life.

Survivors include one daughter: Adrianne (Shane) Worley of Dallas City, Illinois; two sons: Lukas (Emily) Roberts of Lomax, Illinois and Cole (Erin) Roberts of Danville, Iowa; six grandchildren: one great-grandchild; two sisters: Rose (Greg) Dillard of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and Laura (John) Goudschaal of Quincy, Illinois, and one brother: Rick (Cherise) Roberts of Chicago, Illinois.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson: Mason Roberts.

Banks & Beals Funeral Home of Dallas City is assisting the family.
