Jeanne Kettelkamp, age 94, of Stronghurst, Illinois passed away Saturday December 1, 2018 at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab in Stronghurst. She was born February 14, 1924 in Kirkwood, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence J. and Evelyn M. Winebright Talbott. On June 2, 1946, she married James A. Kettelkamp in Stronghurst.

Mrs. Kettelkamp lived most of her life in Stronghurst. She worked as a cook for the Media-Wever and Southern Schools from 1964 until 1980. She was an active member of the Stronghurst United Methodist church, where she provided aftercare for school children at the church. Her church and her family were the most important things in her life.

Survivors include one daughter, Martha (Gene) Dakin of Monmouth, IL, two sons, Steven (Gail) Kettelkamp, of Porter, TX, Mark (Ann) Kettelkamp of Benson, MN, nine grandchildren, Todd (Melena) Kettelkamp, Anne (Jack) Kettelkamp-Bigham, Kathy (Brandon) Bentz, Sarah (Matthew) Hansen, J.R, (Aly) Dakin, Kristi (Alex) Rice, Andy (Christiana) Kettelkamp, Josh (Julie) Kettelkamp, Ryan (Ania) Kettelkamp, and twenty six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister in infancy, Helen Joanne Talbott.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday December 7, 2018 at Banks & Beals, with Pastor Lisa Unger officiating. Burial will follow in the Stronghurst Cemetery.
