Jayne Ann Marie Hershman, age 68, of Lomax, Illinois, passed away Friday, July 17, 2026 at Monmouth Rehab & Nursing Facility in Monmouth, IL. She was born February 27, 1958 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Ray Eugene and Laura Jane Lieurance Kaler. She was first married to Jeff Lynn Berry. They divorced. In 1982, she married Charles Wesley Hershman. They later divorced.

Jayne worked in the housekeeping department of the Nashville Opryland Hotel for several years. Later, she was a sales clerk at a liquor store and various other stores in the Clarksville, Tennessee area. She was a proud cancer survivor.

Survivors include four children, Lou-Anna (Jeremy) Bryant of Pottsboro, TX, Robert (Marie) Berry, of Lomax, IL, Amanda (Charles) Holloway of Columbia, SC, and Laura (Phillip Butler) Hershman of Lomax, IL, eleven grandchildren, Steven, Jacob, Timothy, Devin, Teresa, Kenny, Lilly, Jaloni, Charles, Alysse, and Phillip, two sisters, Deloris Rodeffer of Blandinsville, IL, Elaine Hanley of Sand Springs, OK, and one brother, Steve Kaler of Greensboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son in infancy, three brothers, Carl, Keith, and Rodney, and one sister, Charlene.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, IL, with Pastor Joe Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery, near Dallas City. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
