She was born on September 14, 1933 in Macomb, IL the daughter of Lowell and Etta Gustafson Butler. On April 10, 1955, she married Lowell Mohr in LaHarpe, IL.

Jane attended country grade schools and was a 1951 graduate of the former Terre Haute High School, graduating as valedictorian. She then attended Western Illinois State Teachers College. Jane was a former president of the Henderson County Republican Women. She was a member of Terre Haute United Methodist Church, serving as secretary of the church board for many years and also a member of the Durham G.T. Club.

Survivors include her husband, Lowell, one daughter, Annetta (Rowen) Ziegler of LaHarpe, one son, James (Joan) Mohr of LaHarpe, six grandchildren, Benjamin Ziegler, Anna Ziegler, Sarah Lejeune, Justin Mohr, Morgan Parker, Tiffany Kissinger, two great-grandchildren, Brinley Kissinger, Sawyer Mohr and one brother, Gary (Sherry) Butler of LaHarpe.

Mrs. Mohr was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marion and David Butler.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. Burial will be in the Terre Haute Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Terre Haute United Methodist Church or Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab.
