Mr. James F. Link, 56, of rural Carthage, Illinois passed away at 8:00 A.M. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his home.

He was born on March 28, 1957 in LaHarpe, Illinois the son of Herman and Virginia Hardy Link.

James Served in the United States Marine Corp. He worked on navigation equipment on board airplanes in Texas, Florida, and also in Galesburg, Illinois. More recently, Mr. Link worked for Midwest Honda in Keokuk, Iowa for 2 years. He was a member of the American Legion.

James is survived by one son, John Sanders of Rockwall, TX, two grandchildren, two brothers, George Link of Carthage and William Link of Burlington, IA, three sisters, Judy Taylor of Quincy, IL, Diane Wood also of Quincy and Joanne Todd of Phoenix, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Marian Link and one brother, Phillip Link.

A visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Banks and Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. A flag presentation will be conducted by the LaHarpe American Legion during the visitation. Burial will be held at a later date in the LaHarpe Cemetery. Condolences may be left at banksandbeals.com.
