James Joseph “Jim” Lallak, age 66, of Shakopee, Minnesota, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. He was born May 1, 1960 in Shakopee, the son of George and Marcella Allen Lallak. On February 11, 2006, he married Melinda Anne Hubbard in the Lomax Christian Church.

Jim was employed by Contech Engineered in Shakopee for twenty eight years, and later worked the driveline assemby for Continental Engineering and Manufacturing in Chaska, Minnesota. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering on his motorcycle and vehicles, and mastered the art of using Google to help find directions to fix almost everything. He loved reading, especially his Bible. He was baptized into the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Sarah of Annendale, MN, three grandchildren, one brother, George (Marlene) Lallak of Garner, Iowa, and one sister, Mary Ann (Brad) Swier of South Dakota.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Lallak, his mother and step-father, Marcella and Bill Heuer, four brothers, Mark (Sandi) Lallak, Richard (Joyce) Lallak, Charlie (Carol) Lallak, John Lallak, and one sister, Margaret Lallak.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday October 2, 2026 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, IL. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2026 in the Lomax Christian Church, with Rev. Amy Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery, near Dallas City.
