James C. "J.C." Nudd

Mr. James C. J.C. Nudd, Jr., age 75, of LaHarpe, IL passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 9:17 p.m. at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

He was born November 5, 1938 in LaHarpe, the son of James C. And Esther Fark Nudd. On June 26, 1966 he married Karen Johnson in Burlington, IA.

Mr. Nudd graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1956. He served in the US Army from 1962 - 1964. J.C. farmed all of his life. He also was custodian for the LaHarpe School District and was a school bus driver for over 30 years. He was a member of the Illinois Ford Tractor Association and the Shiloh Living Word Fellowship.

Surviving are his wife, Karen, one daughter, Stephanie Nudd of Burlington, one son Jeffrey (Carrie) Nudd also of Burlington, two grandchildren, Adam and Jacob Nudd of Burlington and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Kleckner.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Pastor Chuck Rogness and Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be held in the LaHarpe Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for LaHarpe Ambulance and Shiloh Living Word Fellowship.
