Ivan L. Martin, 71 of Raritan, Illinois died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday September 30, 2014 at Roseville Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Roseville, Illinois. He was born June 16, 1943 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Floyd and Alice Benson Martin. On July 25, 1963, he married Linda K. Hawk in Bushnell, Illinois.

Mr. Martin was a farm worker all of his life and also was a semi driver for Stronghurst Grain & Merchandise for many years. He was a member of the Stronghurst Lions Club and the Henderson County Olde Tymers.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Iva Kay (Kevin) Horner of Brush, Colorado, one son, Ron (Beth) Martin of Brandon, Mississippi, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister, Bonnie Woodruff of West Branch, Iowa, and three brothers, Leon and Merrill Martin, both of Monmouth, Illinois, and his twin, Alvin Martin of Macomb, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Mark Martin and one daughter, Lori Furman.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday October 3rd at Asbury Cemetery, near Roseville with Rev. Richard Johnson officiating. A memorial fund has been established for Henderson County Health Department Hospice.
