Helen Ruth White, 99, of Carlinville, Illinois, passed away at 8:03 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at her home.

Helen was born October 14, 1923 at home in LaHarpe, Illinois, the daughter of Sidney Chester and S. Hazel (McCord) Link.

Mrs. White was raised and educated in the LaHarpe area. In 1992 she moved to Carlinville, Illinois. She was an active member of Memorial Christian Church in Carlinville and the Carlinville Senior Citizens, serving as Secretary/Treasurer for many years. She also participated in projects to better the community through the Take It To Town Group in Carlinville.

Survivors include three daughters: Kay Stinnett of Carlinville, Marlene (Randy) Kramer of Byron, Illinois and Robin (Dan) Gage-Olson of Benbrook, Texas; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters: Velma Link in infancy, Lola Cooper, Kathrine Glisan and Idel Kreps and five brothers: Vernon Link in infancy, John, Herman, Kenneth and Eldon Link and son-in-law, Jim Stinnett.

Private family graveside services will be held in LaHarpe Cemetery.
