Mrs. Helen L. Cratsenberg Ingles, 92, of LaHarpe, Illinois passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:45 P.M. at the Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst, Illinois.

She was born March 11, 1918 in LaHarpe, the daughter of John Harvey and Kathryn Sophia Schroeder Cratsenberg. On June 23, 1946 she married Clarence Ingles in LaHarpe. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2008.

She attended W.I.U. in Macomb for 2 years and had worked as a substitute teacher. She also worked as a bookkeeper for the Federated Store and was assistant postmaster at the post office in LaHarpe. She was a member of the LaHarpe Christian Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Melody Hensley of LaHarpe, four sons, Gary Ingles of Pleasant Plains, Illinois, Don Ingles of rural Lomax, Illinois, Randy Ingles of Harvey, Louisiana and Paul Ingles of LaHarpe, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, one brother, Robert (Jean) Cratsenberg of LaHarpe, sister-in-law, Margaret Cratsenberg of LaHarpe and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 grandchild, her son-in-law, Roger Hensley, 2 brothers, Frederick and Roland Cratsenberg and 1 sister, Lucille Cratsenberg.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Darren Beachy and Rev. Anita Munden officiating. Burial will be in the LaHarpe Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday. A memorial fund has been established for the LaHarpe Christian Church or the LaHarpe Ambulance Service.
