Mrs. Elaine Good, 66, of Lomax, Illinois passed away at 7:50 PM Monday, September 19, 2011 at her home.

She was born April 15, 1945 in LaHarpe, Illinois the daughter of Maurice and Helen V. Scanlan Smith. On April 24, 1963 she married Ronald Good in Lomax.

Elaine worked for Gleasons Corporation in Fort Madison, Iowa for 34 years.She enjoyed dancing, music, Nascar, especially cheering for Tony Stewart, playing on her computer and cookouts with her family. She cared for her mother for many years. Her family was very important to her.

Surviving are her husband, 2 daughters, Tammy Good of Stronghurst, Illinois and Sherry Good of Burlington, Iowa, 1 son Shane Good of Lomax, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, 1 brother, Danny Smith of Dover, Delaware, 1 niece, Ashley Smith and a great-nephew, Cole Lambert.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard Allen Good in 1965, her grandson, Joshua David Good and a great-grandson, Ryan David Davis.

A private family viewing will be held at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with burial to follow in the Carman Cemetery.
