Glenda Marie Herron, 79, of Galesburg, IL, passed away at 7:58 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Marigold Rehab & Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL.

She was born October 11, 1939 in LaHarpe, IL, the daughter of Roy and Virgie Collins Bundy. In 1965 Glenda married Russell Miller Herron Sr. in Monmouth, IL. He preceded her is death.

Glenda worked at Monmouth Pottery, and as a CNA for many years at Applegate in Monmouth. She had also worked at Farmland in Monmouth, retiring 19 years ago. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her hobbies included watching Westerns, listening to country music, fishing, mushrooming, playing cards, baking and gardening. She loved John Wayne and drinking her coffee.

Survivors include, ten children, Russell Herron of Washington, Rosetta Herron of Springfield, IL, Helen (Raymond) Franklin of California, Susan (Robert) Boyd of East Moline, IL, Cindy Sanderson on North Carolina, Robert (Chonda) Herron of South Dakota, James Bundy of Galesburg, Diana (David) Shaw of Monmouth, Frances Curl of Monmouth and David (Cindy) Herron of Georgia, one daughter-in-law, Ginger Herron of Michigan, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, six siblings, Jerry Bundy of Roanoke, IL, Mike (Cheryl) Bundy of California, Byron Bundy of Monmouth, Charlene (Bill) Delap of Metamora, IL, Nancy (Jerry) Pence of Palmyra, MO and Betty (John) Knaak of Topeka, IL, one sister-in-law, Patty Bundy of Montana and one brother-in-law, Lyle Murphy of Metamora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Terry Herron, two brothers, Tom and Jim Bundy and two sisters, Nyla and Sylvia.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Rev. Jim Luder officiating. Burial will follow in the LaHarpe Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Banks & Beals. A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
