John Giffin, age 84 of Novi, Michigan, formerly of the Stronghurst area, died August 14, 2009 in Michigan. He was the beloved husband of Bonnie. Loving father of Dr. David (Susan) Giffin of Centenial, CO, and Julie (Chris) Ashton of Omaha, NE. Loving grandfather of Stacey, Erin, Peter, and Rachel Giffin and Luke and Caroline Ashton. Visitation will take place Sunday, 2-8pm at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. In state Monday, 10am until time of funeral at 11am, Highland Park Baptist Church, 28600 Lahser Rd., Southfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Southfield Christian School or Compassion Evangelican Hopital, Guinea, West Africa.

Local graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday August 19, 2009 in the Stronghurst Cemetery.
