Mrs. Georgia Lee Yetter, 90, of Red Oak Estates in Canton, IL, formerly of LaHarpe, IL passed away at 9:12 PM Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born May 25, 1926 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Willie and June Freeman Stewart. On May 7, 1955 she married James F. Yetter in Pekin, IL. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2013.

Mrs. Yetter graduated from Cuba, IL High School in 1944. She worked at Camp Ellis for 2 years and then worked for Caterpillar for 31 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Carthage, IL VFW Auxiliary and the Peoria Order of the Eastern Star. She was of the Christian Faith.

Surviving are 5 nephews, Norman Gibboney of Astoria, IL, William Stewart of Seal Beach, CA, Joe Stewart of Glasford, IL, James Stewart of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Donny Stewart of Lawton, MI and 2 nieces, Zelda Gibboney Lasswell of Smithfield, IL and Judith Jones Clark of Donnellson, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers, Freeman and Turner Stewart, 1 sister, Crystal Gibboney, 2 half-brothers, Cleo and Murel Stewart and 1 half-sister, Ialeen Moore.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 8, 2016 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe, IL with Robert Tillman officiating. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery, Webster, IL. Friends may call at the funeral home between 3:00 and 7:00PM Thursday. The family will meet with friends from 1:00PM until time of services, Friday. A memorial fund has been established for the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or the Peoria Rescue Mission.
