George L. Snyder, 74, of Niota, IL passed away at 10:30am Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at his home.

He was born February 14, 1945 in Redmond, OR, the son of Eldon and Audrey Trimble Snyder. On May 25, 1985 he married CeDell Jane Andrews in Foristell, MO. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2003.

Mr. Snyder was a 1964 graduate of the Dallas City, IL High School. He then served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from West Central FS in Colusa, IL. George enjoyed playing pool.

He is survived by one son, Tim (Becky) Snyder of Danville, IL, two daughters, Tricia (Tim) Atterberg of Johnston, IA and JoDee Best of Fort Madison, IA, seven grandchildren, Tim Snyder, Jr., Jessica Snyder, Shae, Justin and Jake Atterberg, Brett Starks and Chase Best, two brothers, Eldon Snyder of Wever, IA and Kenneth Snyder of Hanford, CA and three sisters, Sharon Granneman of Niota, Linda Zeh of Bonaparte, IA and Ruth Harmes of Crystal Lake, IA.

George was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one sister, Marie Snyder.
