Mr. Franklin L. Simpson, 70, of LaHarpe, IL, died May 11, 2016 at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

He was born on January 18, 1946 in Macomb, IL the son of LeRoy and Barbara Scudder Simpson. On April 14, 1999 he married Lynn Barbara Glasow Taylor in Carthage, she survives.

Its impossible to name all his friends and family. He loved to help others and visit with them. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended the LaHarpe Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn of LaHarpe and numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at the Stoneking Cemetery near Industry, IL with Nate McCarter officiating. A memorial fund has been established for the LaHarpe Christian Church or an Animal Shelter of your choice. Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe is in charge of arrangements.
