Evelyn L. Quigle, 86, of LaHarpe, IL passed away at 10:30 pm Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center in LaHarpe.

She was born April 21, 1933 near Macomb, IL, the daughter of Glenn and Gladys Bryan Griffeth. On September 8, 1953, she married Jerry Quigle in Macomb.

Evelyn was raised on a farm in McDonough County and graduated from Bardolph High School, Bardolph, IL and St. Francis School of Nursing in Macomb.

She was a homemaker and worked part time as a registered nurse at the Burlington Hospital and LaHarpe Hospital. She retired in 1983 due to Parkinson's Disease. Evelyn enjoyed country music, working in her flower beds, baking cakes and spending time with her family. She attended the LaHarpe Union Church. Evelyn was a breast cancer survivor.

She is survived by her husband, three sons, Roger Quigle of Colchester, IL, Rick Quigle and Gary Quigle both of LaHarpe, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one sister, Glenna Curtis of St. Augustine, IL.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Quigle, her granddaughter, Blake Quigle, one sister, Goldie Depoy and three brothers, Francis, Harold and Lyle Griffeth.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating. Burial will be in the LaHarpe Cemetery. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from noon until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center or the LaHarpe Ambulance Service.
