Elsie Marie Adcock, 84, of LaHarpe, IL, passed away at 3:05 AM Saturday, December 23, 2017 at her home.

She was born May 19, 1933 in Galesburg, IL the daughter of Lawrence and Mildred Carlson Hilgren. On October 11, 1953 she married W. Eugene Adcock in Abingdon, IL, he preceded her in death on August 5, 2010.

Elsie was a 1951 Abingdon High School Graduate. After high school she worked as a beautician and later as a CNA for 18 years at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center. She was a D.E. Club Member for many years. Mrs. Adcock enjoyed bowling and especially enjoyed spending time with family.

Survivors include three children, Cheryl Sickels of LaHarpe, Diane (Sheldon) Avery of Glenburn, ND and Rick (Rhonda) Adcock of LaHarpe, six grandchildren, Nichole (Scott) Reed, Jason Sickels, Justin (Whitney) McKeown, Ryan Avery, Leslie Avery, and Jodi (Jordan) Anderson and seven great-grandchildren, Jevani and Jeightlin Sickels, Wesley and Kennedy McKeown, Aiden and Dylan Irish and Eden Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Randy Adcock, and one grandson, Erick Adcock.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 in The LaHarpe Cemetery, with Nate McCarter officiating. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in memory of Elsie.
