E. Marguerite Livingston, age 92 of Monmouth, Illinois died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday December 29, 2013 in the Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth, Illinois. She was born in Henderson County, Illinois, the daughter of Axel Wilhelm and Teckla Johnson Waring. On May 26, 1957, she married William Perrin Bill Livingston in Stronghurst, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2002.

Mrs. Livingston attended Chattanooga Grade School in rural Warren County, IL and was a 1940 graduate of Roseville Township High School in Roseville, IL. She then graduated from the Burlington (Iowa) School Of Nursing. Prior to her marriage, she worked at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, and Monmouth Hospital in the Obstetrics Department. She was a lifelong member of the Stronghurst Bethel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one daughter - Grace (Robert) McCrery, of Monmouth, two grandchildren- William and Sarah McCrery, one brother- Kenneth Waring of Burlington, IA., one sister - Alice (Gary) Smith of Mesa, AZ., two sisters in law - Mary (Loren) Clark of Viola, IL., Rose Livingston of Joplin, MO., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother- Carl Waring, and two sisters- Frances Gearhart and Ruth Waring.

The funeral service for Mrs. Livingston will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 2, 2014 in the Stronghurst Bethel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Monmouth Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials have been established for the Stronghurst Bethel Lutheran Church and the Red Cross.
