Edith Dianne Garst, age 62 of Stronghurst, Illinois died at 2:19 A.M. Thursday October 25, 2007 in the OSF Holy Family Hospital in Monmouth, Illinois. She was born January 5, 1945 in Streator, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Ronelva Pollett Harlacher.

She had been employed at Precision Resistive Products in Mediapolis, Iowa for several years. She was a member of the Park Avenue Christian Church in Burlington, Iowa.

Survivors include one son Jon Garst of Stronghurst, three daughters Catrina Roberts of Shauno, Wisconsin, Christina Murphy of Burlington, Iowa, Charmin Savage of Media, Illinois, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, two brothers- Dean Harlacher of Buena Vista, Virginia, Bradley Harlacher of West Burlington, Iowa, and one sister Beverly Spurgeon of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Jane Harlacher.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday October 29, 2007 in the Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst. Burial will be in the Stronghurst Cemetery Friends may call after 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Banks & Beals where the family will be present from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday. A memorial fund has been established for the American Heart Association.
