Earl Norris Jr.

Earl Norris Jr., age 72 of Stronghurst, Illinois died at 2:30 A.M. Wednesday March 19, 2008 at his home. He was born June 6, 1935 in Philadelphia, Illinois, the son of Earl and Nellie Stewart Norris Sr. In 1956, he married Judith Rae Hiles. They later divorced. On April 7, 1979, he married Betty Bowen Annegers in Alpha, Illinois. She preceded him in death on October 24, 2002.

Mr. Norris managed the Stronghurst Grain & Merchandise Company for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing pool and any activity which he could share with his friends. He was a member of the Stronghurst Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters - Stacey Norris of Topanga, CA., Starla Norris of Springfield, IL., one son - Stephen Norris of West Hollywood, CA., and two sisters - Mary Wagner of Jacksonville, IL., and Frances (and Orville) Baker of Riverton, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers - Herb and Harold Norris, and one half brother - Milburn Seabolt.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday March 22, 2008 in the Stronghurst Christian Church with Ron Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the Stronghurst Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 P.M. Friday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst, where the family will be present from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday. Memorials have been established for the American Lung Association and St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
