Doris A. "Pee Wee" St. Clair

Doris A. Pee Wee St. Clair, 86, of Cedar Rapids, IA, formerly of LaHarpe, IL passed away at 2:29 PM Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids. She was born on June 6, 1928 in LaHarpe, the daughter of Jesse "Bob" and Lela McMeins Steepleton. On March 29, 1947 she married Ray S. Tuffy St. Clair in Burlington, IA. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2010.

Doris had worked at the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant in Middletown, IA and also at the former Champion Co. in Burlington. She was a member of the Hancock County VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 5117 as well as the LaHarpe American Legion Auxiliary Post 301.

Mrs. St. Clair is survived by one daughter, Sheila Rae (Terry) Reid of Cedar Rapids, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Besides her husband, Doris was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.

No visitation is planned. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Rev. Jim Clayton officiating. A memorial fund has been established for the Carthage VFW and the LaHarpe American Legion.
