Donna A. Wright, 85, of Carthage, IL passed away at 4:55 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.
She was born on March 3, 1930 in LaHarpe, IL the daughter of Eddie and Stella Sears DeHaven. On February 16, 1950 Donna married Arnold C. Wright in Dallas City, IL. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1994.
Mrs. Wright was a 1948 graduate of the Dallas City High School. After her marriage she and her husband resided in Canton, IL and Ursa, IL before making their home in Carthage. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Carthage United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Randal (Connie) Wright of Aurora, IL and David (Becky) Wright of Carthage, IL, two daughters, Susan (Craig) Endicott of Flagstaff, AZ and DeAnn (Steve) Curran of Springboro, OH, seven grandchildren, Chelsea Cummins, Chad Endicott, Lane Wright, Austin Hartrick, Adam Wright, Alyson Hartrick and Andrew Hartrick, two great-granddaughters, one brother-in-law, Arthur (Nancy) Wright of College Station, TX, one sister-in-law, Patty Wright of Carthage and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, Tom, Vern, Gervase, Gerald and Eldred DeHaven, and three sisters, Wilma, Adrienne and Joyce DeHaven.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Carthage United Methodist Church with Rev. Rusty Beals officiating. Burial will be held at Moss Ridge Cemetery, Carthage. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Friday at the church where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the United Methodist Church of Carthage, the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at banksandbeals.com.
