Donna Arlene Traser, 90, of LaHarpe, Illinois, passed away at 11:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Bickford Senior Living Center in Macomb, Illinois.

Born July 13, 1934, in Rock Creek Township, Donna was the fifth child of Ray and Alta (Powelson) Peck.

After high school, Donna spent time in Colorado and California before returning to the LaHarpe area.  On November 11, 1956, Donna married John Traser at the LaHarpe Christian Church.

Donna held several jobs in and around the LaHarpe area including: working at the Iowa Ordinance Plant, secretarial work at Western Illinois University, operating the Triangle Coin Wash in LaHarpe, and finally as operating/owning His N Her Hair Care in LaHarpe.

Donna loved music, dancing, board games, and cards.  She enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling with her husband John.  She had many fond memories from the winters spent in the Florida Keys.

She is survived by two sons, Scott (Lynn) Traser of Macomb, Shane (Erin) Traser of Rockford, Illinois, one daughter, Sheri (Mike) Traser-Schmalz of Muscatine, Iowa; and six grandchildren, including Kevin (Emma) Traser of Macomb, Sarah Traser of Macomb, Courtney (Traser) Lloyd of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dallas (Ivana) Traser of Loves Park, Illinois, Dominic Schmalz of Coralville, Iowa, and Camille (Schmalz) Poehlein of Spanaway, Washington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings: Ellis Peck, Thelma Thomas, Rayma Peck, and Irma McConnell.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at the LaHarpe Cemetery with Rev. Rick Goettsche officiating.  Following the service, the family will receive friends at the Union Church in LaHarpe.
