Donna Mae Atwell Link, age 68 of Fort Madison, Iowa, formerly of Pontoosuc, IL, died at 12:20 a.m. Thursday March 12, 2009 in the Fort Madison Community Hospital. She was born May 27, 1940 in Pontoosuc, the daughter of Robert LaVon and Doris Kathryn DeHaven Atwell.

Donna had worked as an assistant postmaster, waitress, cook, mail carrier, and most recently as a slot technician for Catfish Bend Casino. She loved to bake pies, oil paint, and crochet. She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include two sons - Richard (Kathy) Scott of Pontoosuc, Jeffrey Arthur of Fort Madison, Iowa, two daughters - Kathryn Scott of Palmyra, Missouri, Laurie (Mike) Groth of Fort Madison, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers - Mike (Jeanette) DeHaven of Pontoosuc, Brad DeHaven of Fort Madison, and two sisters - Judy (Bill) Scott of Canton, Missouri and Coleen (Loren) Brown of LaGrange, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather - Newell DeHaven, her first husband- Donald Scott, and one brother - Nathan Dane Atwell.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, Illinois. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Myers Cemetery, near Dallas City with Rev. Jim Luder officiating. A memorial fund has been established.
