Donna Jean Burt, 78, of LaHarpe, IL passed away at 5:40 PM Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at The LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.

Born on January 17, 1939 in Kirkwood, IL, Donna was the daughter of Ward and Alice Whitmore Melvin. On August 5, 1959 she married Ronald Burt. They later divorced.

Donna was a 1957 graduate of the LaHarpe High School. She enjoyed crocheting and above all, she loved being a mother and grandmother.

Survivors include one daughter: Rena Quigle of LaHarpe; one son: Roger Burt of LaHarpe and six grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Rhonda Quigle; one son: Rodney Burt; one granddaughter; three brothers: William, Ward and Ralph Melvin and one sister: Nancy Johnson.

A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 9, 2017 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Rev. Bruce Goettsche officiating. Burial will follow in the LaHarpe Cemetery. The Family will meet with friends from 9:30 AM until the time of service on Friday. A Memorial Fund has been established for The LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center.
