Mrs. Donna M. Allen, 77, of the new London Care Center, New London, IA, formerly of Niota, IL, passed away at 3:02 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

She was born on March 12, 1938 in Missouri the daughter of Lewis D. and Eva Isabella Phillips Rudd. On October 12, 1985 she married Lawrence E. Buck Allen Jr. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2007.

Mrs. Allen was a 1957 Dallas City High School graduate. She worked various jobs throughout life but most recently was employed by the Catfish Bend Casino for several years. Donna enjoyed knitting, crocheting, fishing, gardening and canning, She loved Dale Earnhardt, Elvis Presley and especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include two sons, Kenith (Christine) Sylvester of Salem, IA, John (Catalina) Berry III of Burlington, IA, one daughter, Pastor Kathi Berry of Earlham, IA, seven grandchildren, Quetzal Leon, Anna M. Berry, Kevin Nichting, Kelli (Josh) Zachmeyer, Tristin (Joseph) Gordon, Danika Jarrett and Zana Jarrett, two great-grandchildren, Kinnley Nichting and Steven Zachmeyer and one sister, Ruby Rudd of Fruitdale, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Donald D. Rudd.

Services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, IL with Rev. Jim Luder officiating. Burial will follow in Myers Cemetery, rural Niota. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established to help with expenses.
