Mr. Donald V. Scott, 78, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 5:20 P.M. at the Fort Madison Health Center, Fort Madison, Iowa.

He was born February 26, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Roy and Grace Inis Scott. On May 24, 2009 he married Barbara Rettig.

Mr. Scott was raised in Chicago and was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed his model trains and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, 5 sons, Joe Scott of San Diego, CA, Tony Scott of Essex, IL, Bill Scott of New York, Robert Scott of Wisconsin and Donald Scott of Michigan, 3 daughters, Barb Myers and Tina McCorkle both of Essex and Kitty Balatto of Florida, 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Sadie Whitehead of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Donna Jean Scott, 2 grandchildren and 4 siblings.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Lomax Church of the Nazarene, Lomax, Illinois with Rev. John Bremer officiating. A memorial fund has been established for the Iowa Hospice.
