Donald G. Moeller, age 76 of Stronghurst, Illinois died at 12:08 a.m. Tuesday June 22, 2011 in the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa. He was born February 13, 1935 in Fort Madison, Iowa the son of Alphonse and Christina Pomberg Moeller. On November 13, 1965, he married Marcia Sprock in Burlington. She preceded him in death on December 31, 2006.

Don Served in The United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He was manager of the Farm Service Company in Stronghurst for many years. He was a member of the Burlington Moose Lodge, Stronghurst American Legion and St Patricks Catholic Church in Raritan, IL. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, playing cards, traveling, and gardening.

Survivors include three sisters- Irma Jean Merschman of West Point, Iowa, Sandra Gwinn of West DesMoines, Iowa, Tammy Moeller of Sacramento, California, special friend- Darlene Pruett of Stronghurst, his step-mother, Mamie Perkovich of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Friday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St Patricks Catholic Church near Raritan with Father Mark Miller as Celebrant. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Burlington, Iowa. Memorials have been established for St. Patricks Catholic Church and the Stronghurst Ambulance Service.
