Donald Lee Harris,87, a longtime resident of LaHarpe, Illinois, peacefully passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 2:05 pm at The Elms in Macomb, Illinois.

Don was the third child of Leland Robert and Minnie Marie (Dulaney) Harris born March 10, 1936 in Terre Haute, Illinois.  He lived in the Terre Haute and Lomax area and worked at the Rock Quarry in Biggsville, Illinois. Don was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and the Local #15 Union. He also did custodial work at J. C. Penney in Burlington until his retirement.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as other outdoor sports.

Don is preceded in death by his father and beloved mother, his infant sister: Betty Ellen and his dear sister: Norma Carol (Harris) Logan and his sweet kitty: Tommy.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews:  Nancy (Bill),  Mick (Leslie), Robin, Marc (Paula) and Lori (Clive). He was a loving uncle and was always good for a pack of gum or a candy bar.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home. A date for the graveside service at Terre Haute Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
