Mrs. Dolly I. Patterson, 81, of LaHarpe, Illinois passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 1:20 P.M. at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois.

She was born June 2, 1929 in Ft. Morgan, Colorado, the daughter of Otto Jonathon Pugh and Irene (Murphy) Doyle. On June 30, 1960 she married Dean Dutch Patterson in Denver, Colorado. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2009.

She attended Ft. Morgan Grade school and High School, graduating in 1948. In May of 1949 she graduated from Parks Business School in Denver, Colorado. She served in the US Navy Reserves for 6 years. She worked at the Air Force Finance Center in Denver from 1950 until June 1960. Following their marriage they moved to LaHarpe where she worked for Dr. Mueller from August 1961 - February 1972. She then worked at the Physical Plant at WIU in Macomb, Illinois from March 1972 until retiring in January 2002.

Dolly was a Girl Scout leader in LaHarpe for 15 years. She was instrumental in getting the LaHarpe Senior citizens club organized and finding a home for their meetings. She attended the Grace Bible Church in Dallas City, Illinois.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Monalisa (Tim) Graves of LaHarpe and Linda (Tim) Leinbach of Milan, Illinois, 6 grandchildren, Jason, Crystal, Justin and Courtney Graves all of LaHarpe and Megan and Trevor Leinbach of Milan, 2 great-grandchildren, Ashton and Harley Brown of LaHarpe and several brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Becky Sue Patterson.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 1, 2010 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Rev. Larry Menschel officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be in the LaHarpe Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. A memorial fund has been established for Alzheimers Research or for a charity of the donors choice.
