Dennis P. Gardner, 76, of LaHarpe, Illinois, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois.

Dennis was born April 15, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Fred and Anne (Pacini) Gardner Sr.

Dennis was a graduate of Orr Academy High School in Chicago. Following high school he served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Montgomery Ward for 25 years. Dennis enjoyed walking and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include three nephews: Fred Gardner III of LaHarpe, Mike Gardner of Elgin, Illinois and John Gardner of Crystal Lake, Illinois and two step-sisters: Karen Ruiz and Julie Wiewiora.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Fred Gardner Jr.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home. No services are planned.
