Dennis William Finch, age 63 of Blandinsville, Illinois died at 1:29 a.m. Tuesday November 16, 2010 in the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa. He was born July 30, 1947 in Macomb, Illinois, the son of William and Henrietta Ruhl Finch.

Mr. Finch attended Durham Grade School and LaHarpe High School, graduating in 1965. He then attended Burlington Jr. College for two years and later served in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1970. He had lived in Coco Beach, Florida, where he worked as a fisherman on scallop boats. He later returned to Illinois where he worked on the family farm and for the Roquette Elevator in LaHarpe for many years, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, dogs and good times shared with family and friends.

Survivors include two brothers- Brad Finch of Phoenix, AZ., Mark (Barb) Finch of LaHarpe, four nephews- Alex Finch and Jason (Carrie) Finch, both of LaHarpe, Scott (Amy) Finch of Huntley, IL., Todd Finch of Lakemoor, IL., one step niece- Kelli Adkisson and one step nephew- Joe Adkisson, both of LaHarpe, and four great nieces and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family is planning a Memorial and Visitation Friday, Dec.10th, 6 - 7:30 PM at the Annex, LaHarpe, IL. A Wake & Party to be held 7:30-12:00 PM (Alcohol permitted - Bring your own). Memorial contributions in memory of Denny may be made to the Denny Finch Memorial.
