Dennis R. DeHaven, 73, of Blandinsville, Illinois passed away at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at his home.

He was born July 4, 1948 in LaHarpe, Illinois, the son of Robert and Christine (Hasten) DeHaven. On October 22, 1966 he married Diana Oliver at the Old Bedford Church, near Blandinsville.

Dennis was a 1966 graduate of Northwestern High School. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Class 1A Water Operator for the city of Blandinsville for 23 years. He retired in 2012. Dennis also farmed.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter: Lori (Gene) Howard of Ipava, Illinois; one son: Todd DeHaven of Blandinsville, Illinois, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister: Deb (Steve) Foster of Albany, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson: Aaron Lebeck; one brother: John DeHaven and one sister in infancy, Kathy Dehaven.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 8, 2022 at McConnell Cemetery, near Fountain Green, Illinois.
