Debra Lynn Newman, 61, of Dallas City, Illinois, passed away at 7:12 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

Debbie was born October 24, 1963 in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Robert C. Porter and Kathleen A. (Barnes) Johnson. On June 26, 2008 she married Charles D. "Charlie" Newman in Fort Madison, Iowa. He preceded her in death October 18, 2024.

Debbie was a 1981 graduate of Dallas City High School. Later in life, she attended Carl Sandburg College.. She enjoyed baking, crafts, hunting with Charlie, being a bonus mom to her children's friends and especially spending time with her friends and family. She was an avid fan of country music.

Survivors include three children: Amber (Jason) Moats, Angie (Nathan) Dunham and Anthony (Brittany) Siefken; one daughter-in-law: Dawn Quick; twelve grandchildren; her step-father: David (Patricia) Johnson; step-mother: Sharon Porter; one brother: Robert (Phyllis) Porter; one sister: Wendy (Mike Brissey) Porter; one aunt: Janet Stoneking and many nieces, nephews and bonus children.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her father: Robert Porter; mother: Kathleen (Barnes) Johnson; one son: Joey Quick Jr., and great-grandson: Atlas.

Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home.

Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dallas City with Fr. Tony Trosley as celebrant.
