Mr. Danny Lynn Swisher, 55, of LaHarpe, IL passed away at 11:23 PM Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Memorial Hospital, Carthage, IL. Danny was born on September 11, 1958, the son of Harold and Maxine Jackson Swisher.

Mr. Swisher was a graduate of the LaHarpe High School. He had worked at Heartland Harley Davidson of Burlington, IA, Shaefer Pen Company of Ft. Madison, IA, and as a farm hand for Bob Reed. Danny also worked for the Hancock and Warren County Mental Health Departments. Danny was a CB Radio enthusiast, and cherished the time he spent with family.

Danny is survived by one son, Zachary Swisher of Stronghurst, IL, his mother, Maxine Huberty, of LaHarpe, two sisters, Donna Martin of Canton, IL, and Joyce Horn of Lomax, IL, two brothers, Wayne and Chuck Swisher, both of Lomax, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Robert Swisher.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. A memorial fund has been established. As per Dannys Request, his body has been cremated and no formal services are planned.
