Obituaries - 2016

Daniel James Kosifas, 83, of Terre Haute, Illinois passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Great River Medical Center, West Burlington, IA.

He was born August 10, 1933 in Chicago, IL the son of Steve and Josephine Havanec Kosifas. On November 26, 1955 he married Rosemary Ann Heili. She preceded him in death on September 16, 2016.

He was a graduate of the College of St. Thomas in Minnesota. He made his living as a high school science teacher and later as a Corporate Salesman.

Surviving are three sons, Christopher Kosifas of Chula Vista, CA, Mark Kosifas of Terre Haute, IL, and Matthew Kosifas of Carson City, NV, one grandson, Adam Kosifas of Sedalia, MO, two great-grandchildren, Christopher Kosifas and Brianna Kosifas of Sedalia, MO, and one sister, Donna Kman of Phoenix, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister in infancy.

Per Daniels request, there will be no services. Burial will be held at a later date at the Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute, IL. Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe is assisting the family.
