Cora M. Luder, 84, of West Burlington, IA, formerly of Dallas City, IL, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at her home.

She was born on April 1, 1928, in Fort Madison, IA, the daughter of Arthur William and Ruby Imelda Warren Steeples. On June 30, 1951 she married Leo Luder in Fort Madison. He preceded her in death on July 27, 2000.

Cora lived in Fort Madison for 25 years and graduated from the Fort Madison High School. She moved to Dallas City where she lived for 52 years. Cora worked at Sheaffers, Sylvania and the IAAP for 28 years. In her retirement she drove for the Dallas City Senior Citizens. Following her retirement she moved to Burlington. Cora served as a Cub Scout Mother, Sunday school teacher, and was a member of the Dallas City American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to bake, decorate, play cards, and enjoyed family reunions.

Survivors include, 2 sons, Randy (Pam) Luder of Burlington, IA and Jeffery Luder of West Burlington, IA, 2 grandchildren, Andy (Joele) Luder of Lodi, NJ, and Erin (Zach) Rempe of West Des Moines, IA, an 18 month old great-granddaughter, Olivia Luder of Lodi, New Jersey, 2 brothers, Duane Steeples of Quincy and Ronald Steeples of Arbela, MO and 1 sister Deanna Iverson of West Burlington, IA, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, August 24, 2012 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Lee Unger officiating. Friends may call after 4:00 PM Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
