Clyde E. Collins, 80, of LaHarpe, Illinois passed away at 4:00 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Roseville Rehabilitation & Health Care, Roseville, Illinois.

Clyde was born February 28, 1941 in LaHarpe the son of Archie and Ruby (Gilmore) Collins. On August 5, 1970 he married Edna Reed at the South Moline Baptist Church, Moline, Illinois.

Mr. Collins was a 1960 graduate of the LaHarpe High School. He worked at  the John Deere Foundry in Moline until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the LaHarpe  United Methodist Church and the LaHarpe Senior Citizens. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and attending local sporting events. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

Survivors include his wife: Edna; one son: Lance (Michelle) Collins of Burlington, Iowa; four grandchildren: Joshua and James Collins and Stephanie and Brad Lauscher and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister: Adeline (Hank) Weast of Galesburg and several nieces and nephews.

Clyde was preceded in death parents, seven sisters and four brothers, including his twin brother: Claude.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the LaHarpe Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe is assisting the family.
